We refer to "Member" as an individual participating
in the Sailing Odyssey Fleet/Club in your area.
Our experience indicates that RC sailing clubs struggle in three areas:
1) Lack of club management experience.
2) Lack of a uniform fleet, thus poor product knowledge and on-hand parts.
3) Lack of a comprehensive club education program.
Our Go To Guy (Gal) program solves these issues. Your volunteer GTG(s) is trained and supported by our national staff to provide the following local services.

Fleet Management - The GTG is supplied with a "Fleet Manual" to aid in the development and operation of your Sailing Odyssey Fleet. It is filled with decades of successful management experience and backed up with our ongoing "tips and tricks" to enhance participation and member enjoyment.

Product support - Our emphasis is on member's sailing fun, not product knowledge. So we supply the GTG with a tool and parts kit specifically outfitted for the fleet boat, and a "Maintenance and Repair manual" to keep boats sailing. The goal is that no member shall ever be more than a few minutes from someone that can help if the need arises.

Ongoing training - The GTG will be versed in conducting training clinics or mentoring programs to help newcomers and those members moving up to different levels of competition. The curriculum for these programs is outlined in our "Getting Started" and "Let's Race" manuals.
GTG responsibilities may change from person to person in your fleet, but the uniformity of our fleet boat and program are there to perpetuate an ongoing program of sailing fun for every member. Part of our instruction is how to delegate gracefully!!
